Today we’re celebrating our amazing PK-12 Art Teacher and Assistant Volleyball Coach, Mrs. Forst! We are so thankful to have her in our district. Thank you, Mrs. Forst, for inspiring our students to express themselves and see the beauty in everything they do.

Golden City R-III Schools conducted a fire drill in collaboration with the Golden City Fire Department. We want to reassure you that this drill was entirely precautionary and served as a valuable opportunity for our students and staff to practice safety procedures in the event of an emergency.

ATTENTION parents/guardians of 8th graders!

Your students are being sent home with permission slips today that need to be signed by you and brought back tomorrow morning in order to attend the VOTECH Tour Visit Field Trip tomorrow!

November 6, 2025 Golden City FBLA members attended Business Gateway Competition at MSSU. After the first session they were able to enjoy lunch at Raising Canes. While waiting for the awards ceremony to start Lakin Baker was chosen to take part in a general knowledge trivia competition. Caleb Hughes took Second Place in Accounting 1 Division 3.

Time is running out to get your tickets for the Golden City Schools Hall of Fame Alumni Banquet!

Last Week, 9 of Golden City's Top FFA members travelled to Indianapolis for the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo! Members started their journey with a stop at Busch Stadium in STL for a behind-the-scenes tour about the operations and history of the stadium! They attended the Opening Session of National FFA Convention, heard an inspiring message and networked with thousands of FFA members from around the country! Next, they attended the Career & College Expo where 100's of colleges and business professionals were there to encourage, recruit, and build connections with the FFA Members! Friday was our tour day, students and advisors travelled to Peoria, IL to tour Caterpillar, seeing from start to finish, the assembly of Bull Dozers! Friday night, we attended the National FFA Rodeo! Fun was had by all! Saturday, they watched the American Degree ceremony then headed back to Golden City, MO. Check out some snapshots from our trip below!

Science exploded pumpkins this week, Mrs. Seela's 7th Grade Facs class students learned how to process pumpkins into fresh pumpkin puree. They created some yummy goodies- pumpkin cake, pumpkin butter, and pumpkin biscuits that were enjoyed by the class!
