Enrollment / registration is required for all new and returning students. Please make sure all required forms are completed online at home using your Lumen parent portal. Information for each student needs to be updated every year in case of any changes.

School Board Vacancy
The Golden City R-III School District has an opening on the Board of Education. This position will run through the Spring 2027 election. Interested residents should make their desire known by sending a letter to Mrs. Jamie Coble, the Secretary of the Board, stating their qualifications and reason for wishing to be on the Board. The letter may be sent to Golden City R-III Schools, 1208 Walnut St., Golden City, MO 64748. Letters of interest will be accepted for a period of two weeks and should be sent to the Board Office by August 24th, 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS: Members of the Board of Education shall be citizens of the United States and resident taxpayers of the Golden City R-III School District. They shall also have resided in the district for one year preceding their election. Members shall be at least twenty-four years of age. All board members should have knowledge of and an interest in the welfare and educational opportunities of students.

Middle School Camp begins at 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM. M-W Aug 3rd- 5th.
High School Camp begins at 9:30AM - 11:30AM M-W Aug 3rd-5th.

Enrollment/Registration is required for all new and returning students. August 12th and 13th from 10:00am-6:00pm will be the 26/27 school year enrollment/registration dates. Please read the following information below:

For new student's coming into our district, please bring the student's:
-Social Security Card
-Birth Certificate
-Proof of Residency
-Immunization Card

For all new and returning students, we will have for you to fill out and go over:
-Transportation for the year
-Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
-Vaccine Requirements
-Students schedules/teacher(s) for the year
-2026/2027 Handbook

We will have forms available to you to fill out online if you cannot attend in person. That link will be available beginning August 12th.

The Golden City R-III School District has an opening for a Social Studies (7-12) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must have a valid Missouri teaching certificate and hold appropriate certification in the areas of instruction or be willing to attain proper certification. Coaching positions are available as well. Golden City has a current base salary of $40,250 next year. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, current resume with references, a completed application, and a copy of your certification and transcripts by mail to: Golden City R-III School District, Attn: Dennis Kimzey, 1208 Walnut St., Golden City, MO 64748 or by e-mail to: dkimzey@goldencity.k12.mo.us. Thank you to the Golden City Class of 1960 for your donation to the Band Program. The funds donated will go towards a new banner for the Marching Band.

Per the approved 2025/2026 calendar, the last day of school is Wednesday, May 20th.
It is a half day, therefore, students will be released at 12:30pm!

Senior High School Graduation is tomorrow evening, May 16th at 4pm. Come join us in celebrating our graduates!
