Information from Inter-State Studio:
If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Event Order Code, 0539BTF at https://inter-state.com/Order. This Order Code is different from the original Event Order Code.

In first grade, we are learning all about economics! We've been discussing income, spending, jobs, goods, services, and how money works in our everyday lives.
Our first graders got to put their knowledge into action! Each student was assigned a “job” and had the opportunity to experience earning money, paying expenses and taxes, and even dealing with a few unexpected surprises along the way!
At the end of our activity, we talked about what jobs they might like to have when they grow up, why people work, how we earn money, and why it's important to make thoughtful choices about spending and saving.
It was a fun, hands-on way to bring economics to life and help our little learners understand that there's a lot more to having a job than just earning a paycheck!

This past week, our 8th grade art students explored the world of printmaking! They learned about the process of creating a relief print, including how to carve a design into a printing surface, apply ink, and transfer their artwork onto paper. Students discovered how one carved design can be used to create multiple prints.

We had our 3rd Annual Apple Crunch Off on Wednesday and ended up with 159 crunchers!!
Each October, Missouri participates in a crunch off with several other states to promote Farm to School foods. We chose to crunch on some apples from Murphy Orchard to celebrate both: Crunch Off Month and National Apple Day!
