November 6, 2025 Golden City FBLA members attended Business Gateway Competition at MSSU. After the first session they were able to enjoy lunch at Raising Canes. While waiting for the awards ceremony to start Lakin Baker was chosen to take part in a general knowledge trivia competition. Caleb Hughes took Second Place in Accounting 1 Division 3.

Last Week, 9 of Golden City's Top FFA members travelled to Indianapolis for the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo!
Members started their journey with a stop at Busch Stadium in STL for a behind-the-scenes tour about the operations and history of the stadium!
They attended the Opening Session of National FFA Convention, heard an inspiring message and networked with thousands of FFA members from around the country!
Next, they attended the Career & College Expo where 100's of colleges and business professionals were there to encourage, recruit, and build connections with the FFA Members!
Friday was our tour day, students and advisors travelled to Peoria, IL to tour Caterpillar, seeing from start to finish, the assembly of Bull Dozers!
Friday night, we attended the National FFA Rodeo! Fun was had by all!
Saturday, they watched the American Degree ceremony then headed back to Golden City, MO. Check out some snapshots from our trip below!

Reminder that HS Boys and Girls Basketball practices begin tomorrow, Monday, November 3rd!

Science exploded pumpkins this week, Mrs. Seela's 7th Grade Facs class students learned how to process pumpkins into fresh pumpkin puree. They created some yummy goodies- pumpkin cake, pumpkin butter, and pumpkin biscuits that were enjoyed by the class!






Mrs. Angela Mooney is our first #TeacherProudTuesday! We are so thankful to have her teaching 6-12 Science in our district! We love seeing her hands-on labs! Thank you for all you do Mrs. Mooney!

Students should not come to school in their Halloween costumes in the morning. We are not responsible for any costumes that get damaged during the school day. Kids may bring their costumes to change into at 1:30 PM for our costume parade.
Parents/guardians, please take a moment to review our costume dress code before the costume parade. If a student’s costume does not follow the dress code, they will not be allowed to dress out for the event.
Thank you for helping us ensure a fun and appropriate celebration for everyone!
