Each month Golden City Elementary focuses on teaching students how to be good citizens. Septembers's citizenship word of the month was RESPECT! Kids aimed to meet the respect goal through their behavior and if they met the respect challenge they received a prize! Congratulations to all these RESPECTFUL elementary students! Representative Ann Kelly visits 3rd grade!
Representative Kelly came to visit Mrs. Hall's 3rd grade class to discuss Missouri government. She was prepared to show them how a bill becomes a law by presenting a donut bill! Students learned how voting is done and got to decide on which donut should be Missouri's favorite. The winner was daylight donuts glazed, which she shared with the students!
