It is our pleasure to announce Michael Lee as Golden City Schools’ Educator of the Year for the Southwest Center for Educational Excellence. Mr. Lee is an outstanding Ag Teacher who consistently goes above and beyond to create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for his students. His passion for agriculture, dedication to student success, and commitment to building strong relationships truly sets him apart. The impact he has made on our Ag Department is nothing short of remarkable. Not only has he helped students grow their knowledge of agriculture, but has also helped students grow their confidence, leadership, and work ethic. Thank you for all you do Mr. Lee!

It is our pleasure to announce Dawn Davis as Golden City Schools' Best of Barton County Teacher of the Year. This year our district has focused on "The Eagle in Us" and we can't think of anyone that portrays this better. Mrs. Davis builds strong relationships with her students. She has a way to encourage and motivate each of her children on a personal level. Mrs. Davis has developed a STEM program to accommodate students PreK - 6th grade. Engaging the students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and maintaining a strong ELA and Science program for the 5th and 6th grade. Thank you for all you do Mrs. Davis!

Golden City FFA Spent the last 2 days at the Southwest Missouri FFA District Contest, competing for a spot at State FFA Competition April 15-17, 2026!
