Inclement weather will be arriving before we know it! In an effort to be proactive, tomorrow students will be sent home with their first AMI assignments packet. These assignments only need to be completed in case of a school closure that the District indicates as an AMI Day (Alternative Methods of Instruction). A new packet will be sent home with students on January 7 to prepare for second semester.

Each month Golden City Elementary focuses on teaching students how to be good citizens. November's citizenship word of the month was THANKFUL! Kids aimed to meet the thankful goal through their behavior and if they met the thankful challenge they received a prize! Congratulations to all these THANKFUL elementary students! We are SO PROUD of YOU!

Middle School/High School semester finals will be the week of December 16. and school will release early at 12:30pm on Friday, December 20 for Christmas break! Christmas break will be Monday, December 23 - Monday, Jan 6 with students returning on Tuesday, January 7th. 1st semester grade cards will be sent home with students on January 7th, however you can always check your student(s) progress in Lumen! If you would like to set up a parent account in Lumen, please contact one of our building secretaries and they can walk you through the process!

Join us in celebrating #TEACHERPROUD Tuesday! Mr. Combs is our 7-12 Business Teacher as well as PreK-6th Grade Tech Teacher. Mr. Combs coaches JH Girls Basketball, JH Boys Basketball, FBLA Adviser, and Yearbook Advisor. Mr. Combs understands that everything is part of a learning process displaying great patience while coaching and teaching.
It's that time of year! FFA Fruit and Meat come in tomorrow! Please make arrangements to pick up tomorrow after school! We do not have the storage space for it.
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) released the latest scores for school districts across the state. Golden City R-III Schools received a score of 86.3%, which places us in the top 21% of districts in Missouri! This growth was achieved through concerted efforts and hard work from our students, teachers, and staff!!! #GoEagles
