If your bus riding student had to be picked up at an alternative site this morning , please plan to pick them up at the same spot this afternoon. We won’t know until the buses get out if situations have changed. I thank you for your flexibility and understanding.
Due to flooding of the roads and at school Golden City will be out of school today Thursday, May 5
Good morning Eagle families! We are dealing with some flooding and debris and road issues this morning. There are going be several places we cannot get the buses to. There is a chance that several students do not get picked up immediately this morning. We are working on a plan to get everyone picked up and get them to the school. We will communicate that as soon as we have it. Also, there is some flooding in the cafeteria so students will be served breakfast out in the hallway this morning. Please contact the school with any questions you may have. Thanks!
Golden City School's BOGO (BUY-ONE-GET-ONE-FREE) Book Fair is coming May 9th-13th. Late shopping dates will be May 10th & 12th from 3:00-6:30 PM in Mrs. Eldred's room. Use the back elementary door to enter. Ewallet is a safe & convenient way for kids to shop. Use our book fair homepage at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/goldencityr3schdistrict1 to set one up. Online shopping is also available for 14 days after our in-house fair is over.

Our junior class has decided to hold one last fundraiser before the school year ends. We have put together an online Golden City Spirit Store that is selling some simple shirts, tank tops, shorts, hats, and some other items to get ready for this summer! At the bottom of this email I am providing the link you can use to order these items from. The online store will be available until next Thursday (5/5) at 5:00 PM. After that the store will close and you can no longer order from the link I am sending you now! When checking out you can select to have the order shipped to you (you will pay extra for shipping) OR you can select pick up and your items will be delivered to the high school and you can pick them up here.
