Good morning everyone! With the release of the ESSER III funds, we plan to offer summer school over the next three summers. Please fill out the form if your student is interested or will be attending this summer. We will use this to plan what the program will look like. We are wanting to get this together as quickly as possible, so a prompt response is appreciated. There will also be a paper copy of the form sent home with all elementary students and paper copies available in the HS office for grades 7-12. However, this form is the preferred method.

A reminder that passing a school bus with the stop arm out violates traffic laws. We report these incidents to the Highway Patrol. Also, please do not drop off or pick up your students in the circle drive. That was moved to the backside of the school at the beginning of the year for safety reasons. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
There is a welcome back rally for the basketball team at the school. Pizza will be provided. They will be there in about 40 minutes.

The Lady Eagles lose a tough one, 30-28 to Walnut Grove. Congratulations on an incredible season - school record for victories and the deepest run in the tournament as well. Really proud of you!
I was just informed that we have some technical difficulties with the bus on the North route. They will have to return to school and get a different bus to finish the route. Because of this, some of the students will be delayed in arriving at home. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Lady Eagles district championship shirts will be available for us to pick up in Lamar at 4:00. We anticipate having them here at 4:30. I will be available until about 5:30 (or a little later if necessary) to distribute them. If you cannot make it then, they will be available for pickup at the send off tomorrow morning on Main St. as well. If you have not paid, be sure to bring the payment with you. The CDC has lessened their mask mandate for school buses to a recommendation. Because of this change, riders will be able to wear masks on the bus if they choose to do so, but we will no longer require it.

We are ordering championship t-shirts for the Lady Eagles. In order to have them Friday, we need the orders in to the school today by 2:00, no exceptions with the print company deadline!
Call either office and place your order. You will be given a total and will pay at time of pick up or earlier. Cash or check. Mr. Long will be staying after school on Friday until 5:30 to hand out t-shirts in the lobby of the HS. If you can't make it Friday, we will have someone available to hand out your shirts Saturday at the send-off.

Congratulations Thomas Jefferson on your win over Rich Hill! The Ozark 7 Conference will be represented well with the Golden City Lady Eagles and the Thomas Jefferson Cavaliers Saturday at SBU for the state quarterfinals. One game to go for state!
