Art Club

Art Club consists of High School students who love the Arts and cannot seem to get enough of them throughout the school day. Art Club meets Wednesday mornings at 7:45 AM. It's a fun club for creative students to work on various projects.

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)

FBLA is a premier student business organization of young people preparing for success as leaders in business, government, and communities. FBLA's mission is to bring business and education together through innovative leadership and career development programs.


FBLA has three main aspects:

Social- We get to know each other and have lots of fun

Professional- Where we learn new things about business, attend conferences, and work on job skills.

Community Service- Where we give back something to the community that has given us so much.


What does FBLA do?

Promote competent, aggressive business leadership. Understand American business enterprise Establish career goals. Encourage scholarship. Promote sound financial management. Develop character and self-confidence. Facilitate transition from school to work

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)

(FCA) is a student led group of athletes and non-athletes that meet weekly to discuss Christian topics, organize service/community projects and have student-led prayer time.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education.

FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education.

Student Council

This organization of students from Freshman to Seniors, take care of a variety of jobs. Four jobs are switched from class to class each week. (Putting up the flag, filling up the pop machine, fixing the sign outside, and saying the pledge on Monday mornings.) They also come up with fund raisers, themes for homecomings, spirit days, and games for pep rallies.

Scholar's Bowl

Scholar Bowl is a MSHSAA recognized academic competition team. Golden City has both junior high and high school teams. We attend conference and district tournaments, invitational tournaments, and the high school Challenge Games. We host our own invitational tournaments at the junior high and high school levels. Four players compete at a time, and answer questions in various categories. The question styles promotes both individual and team achievement.
